Let the EXPERIENCE begin!
NUVOLE BIANCHE
Clouds are my favorite subject ever to photograph: majestic, colorful, always different, usually silent and sometimes grumpy and storm bearers.
Those who know me also know that I often look at the sky in search for new possible shots, especially at sunset, when everything around us is colored with colors never seen and makes us feel new emotions. "Nuvole bianche", to me, describes the perpetual movement of clouds in the sky perfectly: they change constantly, never still nor tired. I decided to add a hint of mountain landscape as illustration: a storm is approaching, and the wind shakes the pine trees, releasing their scent in the air and merging it with the smell of forthcoming rain. |

UNA MATTINA
A sweet melancholy and a deep nostalgia for memories and experiences that actually never happened: this is what I felt when I listened to "Una mattina" for the first time, immediately realizing that it would become one of my favorite tracks.
The delicate and powerful notes merge with mixed feelings, generating pathos and amazement; kind of like when the windows are open early at dawn, and you can breathe the scents in, listen to the sounds of nature that awakens and see colors and lights that fill the heart. Lupa is petrified in front of this show, and cannot help but stop her journey, astonished by this beauty, knowing that it won’t last long, unfortunately. |
|
FLY
"Fly" is one of the tracks I enjoyed the most from the very beginning: evocative, magic, powerful... Just like the flight of birds. I often get lost in watching them twirl in the sky, especially at sunset, drawing every kind of shape against the colorful clouds.
I remember the evening I photographed this sky from my window pretty well: everything was on fire, the sky was crowded with swallows and seagulls, and I just couldn’t stop looking at all of that. If someone had secretly taken a photo of me in that moment, I would have looked exactly like Lupa, observing the sunset, completely enraptured by the dance of black silhouettes unleashed at the end of a violent storm. |

IN UN’ALTRA VITA
It truly takes a lot of courage to move forward when everything seems to hold you back, when the weight of the past keeps you stuck and doesn’t let you breathe. It doesn’t matter how, no matter if alone or with someone, the most important thing is not to stop.
"In un’altra vita" immediately inspired me a great desire to run towards the future, whatever it might be. Unfortunately, the world is going through an extremely difficult era, and everything that could happen in the next few minutes scares us; however, we must never give up on what keeps us going and drives us to improve ourselves every day. Is it so revolutionary to hope for a better world? Is it so strange to imagine yourself happy in this or in another life? |

I GIORNI
It happens to everyone: we all get lost in our thoughts and travel with our minds to more or less distant memories, reliving dreams and experiences that have taught us something, for better or worse; time passes, it never stops, and it’s up to us to make every moment special in its own way.
This is what "I giorni" inspired me, with the softness and sweetness of its notes: the need to remember to learn not to forget. Lupa seems to think exactly this while observing the thousand shades of the sunset: the passing of days reminds us that life is only one, and it’s made of laughter, tears, dreams, passions; you have to learn to live fully, without missing out on even the smallest things, because they are the ones that teach us what is most important. |

L’ORIGINE NASCOSTA
Being tremendously romantic, my mind is in constant turmoil; sometimes I happen to think about the fact that everything has - unfortunately - an end, and this is known... However, has anyone understood where certain things come from?
Humanity has always been looking for an explanation for everything that exists, being curious by nature, but my opinion is that some questions will never be answered... Or at least that’s what I honestly hope. Yes, because certain phenomena are surrounded by an aura of mystery that’s too pure and delicate to be destroyed by the harsh reality. This is "L’origine nascosta", to me: some sort of magic that emphasizes our will to know more and more, but also reminds us that there isn’t always a concrete explanation, because some things can be understood only with our hearts. |

WATERWAYS
I was born and still live a few steps away from the great river Po, which is truly a blessing: I often stop along the banks to admire and capture its colors, especially in autumn. Floods are frequent and sometimes dangerous in this season, but they always offer breathtaking and impossible to forget landscapes.
I can certainly say that "Waterways" is one of my absolute favorite pieces: its moving and evocative notes drag you away slowly, just like the sweet stream of a river. Lupa wanders in this landscape almost like a "goddess of the river", observing the soul of the spectator with her penetrating gaze. I care about this graphic artwork a lot, as I consider it as a "tribute" to my homeland, which is bathed by this wonderful, powerful and full of life river. |

DIVENIRE
I remember the evening I took this photo pretty well: I was coming home from a family dinner in the countryside when I noticed the show that was happening in that moment. I stopped the car, rolled the window down to better capture the beauty and stayed there until the sun disappeared below the horizon.
A mixture of curiosity and anguish for the moments and days that will follow assaults us when we realize that everything in our life is in the making... However, we cannot forget its counterpart: human existence. The moment, the now. It is essential to keep our eyes on the future, but without forgetting about the present. How else could we appreciate precious gifts like sunsets? |

ASCOLTA
The song of cicadas, the rustle of leaves moved by the wind, the flight of birds. Gently close your eyes, breathe slowly and deeply: let yourself go, try to abandon yourself and relish this concert of sounds from nature. Do the same as Lupa: listen.
We live in a noisy and fast world that bombs us with sensations and news of all kind, we are hyper-connected and always updated on everything quickly... And, little by little, this has led us to forget the purest and most beautiful things in life. Because this is our illness: we hear everything, but we listen too little. Let’s get back to listening: savour the slowness, the patience, the sweetness of silence broken only by a chirping or the beating of our heart. Because there are no more beautiful sounds that those generated by a happy soul. |

LE ONDE
I think that explaining the sea as something physical is very complex; I, for example, always tend to describe it as a mixture of colors, scents and sounds, because I am firmly convinced that the voice of the sea is one of the most beautiful sounds that nature can ever gift to us, that its fragrance must be breathed with our lungs full and that its colors are the shades of a happy soul.
This photo was taken in a place that I have always held in my heart since I was a child; I hadn’t seen that sea for a year, and being there was what I wished the most after months on darkness, because that beach has been what I always called "my sea" for all my life. Being lucky enough to walk or run on the shore, to refresh body and soul in the waves, to close your eyes and let yourself be carried away by emotions: this, to me, is pure delight. |
|
RITORNARE
This music reminds me of the deep melancholy that assaults me on the way back from a trip: no matter how far I went, or for how long I have been away, returning home always generates a bit of bewilderment in me.
It may sound odd, but I assure you, that I don’t mind travelling alone, especially by train; yes, I know it can be quite stressful, but as an incurable dreamer I can’t help but think that the sight of the landscapes that flow out of the window like the scenes of a movie is a source on constant inspiration, meditation and conflicting feelings. I remember the moment I took this photo well: I was coming back home from a pleasant trip to a city that I particularly adore, and when I raised my eyes to look outside, I was surprised by this breathtaking sunset; it really was the perfect end to the day, and my soul was finally satisfied. |
|
NIGHT
As soon as I listened to this music for the first time, it reminded me of a sweet lullaby, and I immediately associated it with a tender memory from a year before.
During the last days of a very painful year that never seemed to end, I was walking on a riverfront, and a very cold but splendidly sunny day was ending. I love when winter gifts us moments like these. It was almost dark when I realized there was a very unique light all around: so I decided to turn around and I noticed this shy crescent moon immersed in an incredible sunset that painted the sky with all the shades of pink, blue and purple. Needless to say, I was completely enraptured by the show, and that night was very sweet, after my soul was fed with such wonder. |
|
BURNING
I like to think that everything in life has a specific purpose: every joy and every pain form our experience, so we can then build an armor that will protect us in future battles.
Sometimes we forget how small and helpless we can be while facing some storms: in those moments we never feel enough, while the trail of destruction and suffering overwhelms us, and getting out of that swamp seems impossible. In times like these we must remember that, under the armor we carry, a beautiful, warm and bright fire burns; we must let that flame enwrap us and remind us how strong and full of life we are. Find something that helps you fuel that fire, do not let it ever go out: keep its heat alive, because when everything appears cold and painful, that heat will be your greatest hope and strength. |
|
OLTREMARE
It is almost time to go home: the sunset paints the sky and the sea with warm and bright colors, the leaves of the palm trees move gently thanks to the evening breeze, and everything seems to slow down to savor those moments to the fullest.
Lupa's paws sink into the soft and warm sand as she advances towards the shore, when she suddenly looks up, and here she sees a lonely island on the horizon, distant but at the same time so close and familiar. The creature takes a deep breath and lets out a melancholic howl, as if it was a call for someone who might be down there ... No answer back. Lupa smiles timidly, while a tear falls into the sea; she goes away, happy she lived a unique moment of joy and sadness like that. It is a bit bittersweet, but, to her, that's okay. |

PETRICOR
It is always nice to discover a new word, especially if its meaning hides something poetic that generates surprise and happiness in us, and the term that gives the name to this graphic artwork truly warmed my heart right away.
"A pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of warm, dry weather." - here is the explanation of 'petrichor'. The sweet notes of the piece, solitary at first, later merge into a symphony of sounds, like the first rain that gently refreshes us after a long period of drought. I can almost smell the scent of the wet ground, as I close my eyes and recall that purple sky like I had never seen. These are the brief moments in which we understand how happiness often lies in the things we take most for granted. |
|
INDACO
I believe that the gentleness of these notes could calm even the most restless soul down; describing what music makes us feel with words is often difficult , and sometimes nothing replaces the evocative power of the images generated in our mind by emotion.
As soon as I took this photo, I immediately thought of the song "Indaco": that day, the sky and the clouds with shades ranging from blue to gray had created an almost ethereal ambience, and everything seemed to be enveloped in a delicate white light. A precise image immediately crossed my thoughts while listening: that same sky was reflected in a veil of water crossed by the slow and delicate steps of Lupa, who headed towards the bright horizon. The creature’s peaceful thoughts could have lasted forever with such calm and sweetness. |
|
ANDARE
I believe that this piece has an extraordinary evocative power: while listening to it, you feel as if you are suspended flying over a world full of colors and lights, but also shadows: it is as if you are watching life going by from above.
That made immediately think of a "special" place where I like to go to walk alone with my thoughts: a long tree-lined avenue, immersed in a silence interrupted only by chirps and hums and by the sound of footsteps, where you can smell the wonderful scent of flowers and resin. Lights and shadows mark Lupa's path, but also our own: the most important thing is to always go forward, not to be discouraged by what scares us most, and fight that fear with the consciousness that the light outside that tunnel will be brighter. |
|
PASSAGGIO
Warm colors and scents of woods and spices: how can someone not adore autumn, especially when it gifts us hot days with spectacular sunsets.
I believe that this season best represents the concept of "passage" in all its power: we leave behind a lively and bright period to enter cold and dark months... With the awareness, however, that it will not last forever, and that that light will return to warm our hearts. Life is a succession of passages, and Lupa knows it well; however, this does not stop her from wanting to make that leap that will lead her to continue her journey, beyond the hill covered by a carpet of eaves, beyond the thick wood she crosses. The journey has come to a turning point: step by step, Lupa continues her growth ... And she can't wait to know what the future holds for her. |
|
LIMBO
This bridge at sunset is truly one of the most magical places I've ever had the luck to photograph: the light was dancing among the columns, casting shadows and playing with shapes, creating beauty... And it was a winter day!
Lupa is almost ascending to another dimension while trying to absorb all that light, warmth and wonder. By now, her journey has reached a crucial point, and she knows it well: she is aware of the fact that everything will change soon. This time, however, the change does not scare her: in her heart, Lupa knows that happiness and beautiful things are always there, right around the corner, and doesn’t matter how tortuous, long and painful the path may be ... Well, the ending will always be worth it, and it will repay you for all the hard work you have faced. |

FUORI DAL MONDO
There is no need for majestic architectures or science fiction scenarios, luxurious hotels or trips to exotic places, when everything beautiful in the world is in your own Country: when you have fairytale landscapes like this one in front of you, everything stops, suspended in a dreamlike dimension.
What gives us the most authentic emotions and that makes us feel like out of this world are the simple and purest things, often the ones we take for granted. Lupa is unable to take another step, shocked by the infinite beauty that surrounds her: everything she sees fascinates and strikes her in the depths of her soul. And then, she stops to savor that moment in its entirety: the sweet sound of the water, moved by a very light fresh mountain breeze, the scent of wet earth and the pine trees... |
|
ASCENT
It may sound like a simple melody, but the notes of "Ascent" generate a truly varied set of emotions: the sweetness of the moment meets with the nostalgia for what once was and with the curiosity for what will be.
A gash suddenly opens up in the dark and threatening clouds, revealing the splendid blue sky that was hidden under that dense blanket: it's like being in front of a gorgeous canvas painted by nature, an authentic work of art. Lupa closes her eyes, feeling them filling with emotional tears, and remains there to savor those moments of bliss; she sits down on the soft lawn beaded with raindrops that had just stopped falling, and lets the warm rays of light caress her soft fur until they reach her heart. |
|
DISCOVERY AT NIGHT
I often think about how special the night is: while we sleep, our defenses fail, letting everything we have experienced come back to our minds, but with a thousand new nuances... It’s like reliving all the experiences we have lived, and then seeing everything with wiser eyes.
Lupa... You have walked, run, struggled, thought, cried so much... The time has come for you to rest a little before resuming the final stages of your journey: rocked by the sweetness of the notes and a delicate breeze, you fall asleep, turning your back to a flaming sky. The warmth of that last sun gifts you a completely new strength, and you start dreaming, with the serene soul of someone who finally knows its value. |
|
SVANIRE
There are songs of an unprecedented power that tighten heart and stomach, and that enrapture us from the beginning... "Svanire", for me, is one of those songs, and I cannot deny the great pathos generated from its notes.
Lupa felt the same emotion in her dreams: she had to cross that wood to relive all the pain, retrace those streets, feel all the scents and hear all the sounds one last time before they could vanish forever. In order to go on it's necessary to definitively say goodbye to everything that has made us suffer, but it is also important to remember that we can learn something from every single experience and make it our own: what disappears never goes away forever, being able to squeeze the juice that will allow us to be ready to face tomorrow, drop by drop, is up to us. |
|
RESPIRO
I believe that if the magic of sunrise had a soundtrack, it would be this song: the sweetness of the harp really warms our hearts and, without us realizing it, a smile takes shape on our faces, and our eyes fill with emotion.
The dark night has now passed, giving way to the gentleness of the first sunrays that emerge on the horizon, dyeing the sky and the clouds and making Lupa's thick and soft fur shine in every shade of fiery colors. Everything around her smells fresh and new: oh so much delight she can finally feel deep inside, so much joy for that moment! After all the pain and struggles, after all the tears and wounds, it is time to welcome a new light and to breathe that happiness deeply, to be able to get up and take a big leap into the future. |

EXPERIENCE
The most beautiful thing ever created by human beings, the only language that does not need words to be understood: there really is nothing like music, with its devastating power capable of reaching the heart in a thousand different ways, making us cross known or imaginary worlds, teaching us the purity of beauty.
"Experience" is the first ever piece by Einaudi that I have ever listened to: the title of the Project is dedicated to these notes, to their evocative power that inspires freedom, joy, redemption ... Life. For many years now I have had the desire to create something that pays homage to everything I love the most and that makes me feel good, and to know that I have finally managed to take this great step... What an all-encompassing and indescribable emotion! You did it, Lupa: you have finally concluded your journey. Your wounds have healed, the pains have disappeared, the tears have dried. All that you have lived, all the roads you have travelled, every emotion you have felt... Now it's all part of you, great soul: remember your new light, and transform it into strength to face all that life will present to you... Be proud of yourself: YOU WILL MAKE IT. |
